Since 2019, TRIP, Thuringia’s first start-up accelerator, has been supporting innovative, technology-oriented teams with coaching, workshops, prototyping budgets and direct access to investors, SMEs and experts. The aim is to create the best conditions for Thuringia’s start-up community and bring innovations to market faster.

With 4 months of TRIP, we accelerate your business model and take it to the next level. In another 3 months, we bring you to investment readiness in the TRIP Final Class.
In individual 1:1 coaching sessions, we take a close look at your business model, challenge processes and lay the foundations for you to make informed decisions. Our practical workshops provide you with insights and tools for developing a business model with scaling potential and successfully approaching investors – always combined with sparring on an equal footing.
Through targeted communication and networking measures, we increase your visibility and put your innovation in the spotlight. Through our TRIP community, you gain access to exchange, support and valuable know-how from founders, experts and partners. With TRIP, you become part of the innovation community – not only in Thuringia, but far beyond. You gain access to events such as the Hannover Messe, the InnoMatch, the Innovationspreis Thüringen and the first pitch events to present your ideas and meet industry partners and investors.
What’s more, with our prototyping budget of up to €4,000, you can make your technology tangible and give your development the decisive boost it needs.
TRIP also offers you the perfect conditions for Thüringer Gründungsprämie, where you can secure funding of up to €42,000 per person. Through our community, you can benefit from the expertise of our TRIP alumni, direct exchange with Thuringian SMEs and exclusive corporate insights from more than 130 globally active companies in the Wissensfabrik benefit – a gateway to valuable corporate knowledge and practical experience.
Particularly scalable projects will be accepted into the TRIP Final Class after Decision Day. Here, everything revolves around venture capital financing: we make you investment ready, equip you with the right tools to convince investors in the long term, and open doors to relevant early-stage financiers. Through TRIP, you gain access to investors such as bm|t, STIFT, to business angels via the Business Angels Deutschland e. V. and much more.
The grand finale? Pitch Day in June, where you will present your business case to investors and players in the innovation ecosystem.

About us
We are proud that 70% of the start-ups from the last five batches are now on the market. In addition, around half of the TRIP finalists benefit from a subsequent investment. TRIP entrepreneurs are successful across all industries throughout Thuringia. This is demonstrated, for example, by Polytives GmbH, which has now built up its plastics additives business into a large production facility in Rudolstadt, and E-Terry from Erfurt, which is developing the agriculture of the future with its autonomous, AI-controlled field robot. Most recently, IDloop from Jena als erstes Unternehmen aus Mitteldeuschland für das „EIC Accelerator“ Programm the European Union with funding of €10 million. DeepEn, a spin-off from the Leibniz Institute of Photonic Technology, has won several pitch awards, was voted one of the 25 best spin-off ideas from science in the international Falling Walls competition, and has secured €2.5 million in funding from the EIC programme.
