„Readyness makes the difference“

The first Thuringian accelerator program has been launched! The Foundation for Technology, Innovation and Research Thuringia within the project ThEx  innovativ sent  today 10 ambitious start-ups and innovators on the “TRIP” of their lives with the kick-off event “Start your TRIP”. The Thuringian Regional Innovation Program TRIP brings the participants directly towards investment readyness.

Project manager of ThEx innovativ Christiane Kilian is looking forward to the upcoming innovations and motivated participants: “The start-ups and innovators will diversify the Thuringian innovation landscape with their business models and set new impulses. We have a colorful mix of industries at the start: Participants from the fields of tourism, information technology, logistics, agriculture, smart energy, gaming and many more can hardly wait to implement their innovations. ” The class portfolio includes students, employees, university graduates and serial entrepreneurs.

With the kick-off event “Start your Trip”, the selected applicants were officially included in the TRIP program today and, after a short pitch introductory round, were given a ticket and a starter kit for their six-month trip.

During this time, all projects benefit from expertise, monthly workshops and networking with investors, SMEs and corporates. 10 best and most innovative projects were selected from all applications, each of which also received a budget of € 2,000 to further develop their innovative idea. Another four projects convinced the jury so that they were accepted as associated participants in the class and each received an individual package to accelerate their innovation. In addition, TRIP gives the participants  access to the € 100,000 early-stage ticket from bm | t “Beteiligungsmanagement thüringen gmbh” and the Get Started Prototyping Program from Thuringia’s business-related research institutions.

For particularly scalable projects, the FINAL TRIP phase with the focus on VC financing is planned. The aim is that  TRIP projects are “investment ready” by the Investor Days Thuringia on 16./17. June.

The TRIP program takes place in partnership with the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and the Hochschule Nordhausen as well as in cooperation with Ernst & Young, the bm | t and the German Accelerator.

In the long term, the participants should also be accompanied by special topic TRIPs.
