The next step has been taken: at TRIP Decision Day, the current TRIP cohort pitched their business models to a panel of experts and demonstrated the potential of their solutions.

The jury included Olga Röder and Andreas Sonnefeld (Thuringia Foundation for Technology, Innovation and Research), Michael Bätz (EY), Karin Rabe (bm-t beteiligungsmanagement thüringen GmbH) and Johannes Ulrich (Ostwerk GmbH).

The jury discussed the pitches in depth, asked targeted questions and assessed which teams were best placed to take the next step: securing a place in the TRIP Final Class. The focus was not only on the business model, but also on how clearly the teams could outline their path to the market and to investors.

These start-ups made it to the TRIP Final Class

Five start-ups have made it through and are now moving on to the next phase:

  • PIKES GmbH shows how intralogistics processes can be automated using robotics and software to make them more flexible and efficient, without the need for fixed infrastructure.
  • Active Medical Xcellence GmbH develops medtech solutions for urology that make surgical procedures more precise, efficient and safer.
  • OhMyV GmbH is developing a lubricant that prevents pregnancy and reduces the transmission of diseases at the same time.
  • iACT brings language learning to life – with AI-powered VR scenarios for real conversations in everyday situations.
  • GRAUCH Vakuummesstechnik is developing a new type of sensor that measures total pressure and gas composition simultaneously – compact, fast and cost-effective.

Congratulations to all the teams!

The tickets were presented by Thuringia’s Minister for Economic Affairs, Colette Boos-John, and the executive team of the Thuringia Foundation for Technology, Innovation and Research – Christiane Kilian and Dr Sven Günther – at the Community Opening in front of the assembled Thuringian innovation community. Here, it became clear once again that innovation flourishes where talent meets strong networks and the right support.

Focus of the next phase: investment readyness

For the TRIP Final Class, the intensive work on the next stage – investment readiness – is now beginning.

The workshops and one-to-one coaching sessions will focus on:

  • the refinement of the business model
  • a clear stance towards investors
  • further development of the pitch
  • honest feedback from the ecosystem

The aim is to prepare the start-ups specifically for meetings with investors and to increase their chances of securing early-stage funding.

Pitch stage at the Investor Days Thüringen

The highlight of the TRIP Final Class: a pitch on stage at Investor Days Thüringen.

Here, the teams present their solutions to investors, corporate partners and the innovation ecosystem from Thuringia and beyond.
