The Foundation for Technology, Innovation and Research Thuringia (STIFT) has been selflessly promoting science, research and technology since its foundation in 1993. As a non-profit, independent institution, it supports Thuringian actors in education, research, development, innovation and entrepreneurship along the entire education and economic development chain. From childlike curiosity to brilliant researchers, from innovative business ideas to successful technology companies. In individual cases, the STIFT itself acts as an investor for start-ups.

The ThEx innovativ project based at STIFT supports start-ups in the areas of business model and strategy development, value creation, financing, investor relations and leadership. The annual Investor Days Thuringia and the Thuringian Regional Innovation Program, TRIP, complete the comprehensive range of services. As the first Thuringian Incubator/Accelerator Program, TRIP has been bringing ambitious innovators and start-ups towards investment readiness at full speed since 2019, providing a solid basis for market entry.
